Found My Trailer

Christopher Deam

I could live in this trailer. Imagine how much better trailer parks would be if there was some thought and design behind them. Trailer trash would become extinct.

Back To Work

This week I will start working at the office again. It has been great working from home but it's time to get serious and get to work! I'll miss staying in my pj's until noon or watching cartoons with Van or going to the store when I need to get out. Now I have to wake up early every morning (ugh!), work a full 8 hours (double ugh!) and talk to adults all day (triple ugh!). But it will be nice to be back into a regular schedule, make a little more $$$, and when my work day is done, it's done. That was the hard part with working from home, I just worked when I had time. Sometimes it was in the morning, or afternoon, or when the kids were in bed. But it will all be worth it, right?

Find Of The Day

I was doing my usual Saver's (thrift store) perusing and came upon "Magritte, The Collection" by Rene Magritte. He's the Belgium Surrealist painter who did "The Son Of Man" This is probably his most famous painting. But it was not included in the portfolio I found, too bad. Here are the four that I picked up for $1.99

"Castle In The Pyrenees"

"Hegel's Holiday"

"The Empire Of Light"

"The Therapist"

They are 8 x 10 prints. I'm so excited to frame them! I love good thrift store finds!!!

Bathroom Update

Here are some more pictures of the bathroom. It is coming along slowly but surely, like most remodel jobs. I'm really happy with the tile combination. Next we get to do the fixtures. The fun part!!

Van just wants to help, he's not in the way.

I hope this sink works, if not then I'll just put in a pedestal sink. Stay tuned for more updates....

Etsy

Have you discovered etsy yet? It is an online shop that is "the place to buy and sell all things hand-made". I love it! I have only bought one item from it but I plan on buying more. I like the idea of promoting crafters and it is my way to spur the economy. One day I'll get my little etsy shop going, but until then, here are some things I'm looking at...

The Lucy Apron

Sketchbook by Cathe Holden

Winter City purple hat with flower by MaxMelody (try to ignore the creepy life-like mannequin)

Black & Yellow Yo-Yo Necklace Don't know if I would wear this but isn't it awesome?!

Creamsicle & Corduroy Tote by Karen Meyers Aren't these colors yummy? So fun for Spring!

More Duvets

All from Anthropologie. The first two are a little busy but I still like the bright colors. The third is just pretty.

This one is from Macy's. It's a nice, safe pattern and would go with a lot of different styles and colors.

Also from Macy's. This is from the Martha Stewart collection. It's sweet, maybe a little too sweet for me. So, I was thinking these next two would spice things up a bit.....

Nothing says, "Welcome to my pretty bedroom," like "Love Kills Slowly" surrounded by a skull and cross-bones. I've seen this on t-shirts but who would ever want that on their bed?!?! Bring on the nightmares!

Out With The Old, In With The New

I have wanted a new duvet cover for, oh, 10 years. I have decided that this is the year to make that dream come true. I want something flowery and girly because now I can! But it also needs to look grown up and stand the trendy test of time. Here are two that I just saw in the Pottery Barn catalog that caught my eye and made my heart go pitter-pat.

I'm taking suggestions from those of you who know me best, or know me least, I don't care. These aren't the final two, just two that I like. I will continue my search until I find the duvet that is meant to be!
