Moving Day (actually week:)

I have always loved all white rooms. They feels so clean and peaceful. I know what you're thinking, "It may be pretty but it will be dirty in less than a week." Well, I don't care! I love them enough that it's worth the spot cleaning. I'm going to try and pull off my own version of a white room. (Posts on my messy kids will follow shortly)

Had My IKEA Fix

This past weekend I was in SLC and of course I went to IKEA. I only picked up a few things but I saw so much I wanted. I didn't have much time to spend there but that was okay because I didn't have much money either, so it worked out well. Here are a couple of my finds....

These are two of the fabrics I am using to make some pillows for my new sofa. I also got a piece that is hot pink with a yellow leaf design. I'm going for the neutral- background-with-pops-of-color look for my new place.

Sushi!!!

I found this great blog, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, and I saw this fantastic post on sushi instruction. I have a passion for good sushi and now my mouth is watering....

Moving!

I am taking a big leap of faith and moving out of my parents' home and renting my own place. I'm a little nervous to go at it alone. But I suppose I'm not totally alone. I've got my great children and family behind me all the way, so I know we can do this!

There are some great things about moving. Especially this move. I get to start with a fresh palette and create the rooms of my dreams. I just ordered this amazing chair from Target....


I love the color, pattern and style. I'm really into bright, fresh colors right now. I have some more ideas that I'll post about soon...

I Must Need Some Spring

I vow to decorate with more fresh flowers. Pure luxury is having fresh flowers everyday and I am in need of some pure luxury.

The Bathroom is Almost Finished!

I only have a few more things to finish it up and then it will be done!!!! I'm having a difficult time finding a cabinet to go above the toilet. All of them that I have seen do not impress me.
