Pastel Pleasure Palace

That is the name my husband has given our house.
And it is! And I love it!!
Here are some of the colors that I've used...
Martha Stewart Living 8 oz. Pencil Interior Paint Tester # MSL082
This is in the entry and kitchen, it is called "Pencil", and it looks just like a yellow pencil.
This is in the living room. It is called "Love-In-A-Mist". Awesome name.
This is in the hallway off the living room. It's name is "Sea Anemone". It is very close in shade to the blue and in certain light it's difficult to tell them apart.
All paint sample pics from here
This is "Ballet Slipper Pink". It is in my daughter's room. It fits her perfectly.

Hopefully we'll get our internet up and running soon. I'm using the library's computers and it's not very convenient, but better than nothing.

I really want to show some pictures of the rooms! They're coming, I promise!!! And I'm dying to get back in my daily blogging habit. Miss you all!

Painting, Painting and More Painting!

I made it to a computer this week. It may be a while before it happens again. The house is coming along slowly. And I finally picked out the perfect blue! Pictures will be coming along as soon as I'm back on line. There is just so much work to do and so little time. I really wish I could just blog all day. But, no!
Back to work!

I'm drooling over this piano! I know someone who has a piano that is old and gorgeous and said I could have it but I have no room :( Super sad! I told her if I could fit it in my house I would paint it turquoise.

I'm Still Here!

Hi, I've missed you!
I've been so busy with moving and trying to get settled (which may take at least 5 years:) that my poor blog is being neglected. Hopefully we'll have a computer set up in the near future. It's killing me!!!

But I will give you a few pictures from our reception....
It was so amazing! The flowers were beautiful, the food was delicious and the guests were charming. And my groom was perfectly handsome.
Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Moving Week

I feel like I just moved into my current house and now we're moving out. I'm so ready to settle down in one location for a long time. I think this will be our 11th move in about 16 years. I'm ready to be a permanent resident of anywhere! We have one room painted and the colors almost chosen for the rest of the house. I'm going with the blue for the living room after so many positive comments. Now I just have to pick the perfect blue. Oh, and I bought a refrigerator! Woo Hoo!!! It's beautiful....

Also, with my moving, I'm going to have to change the name of my blog. Sad:( I'm going to have a contest and give-away after the reception and move is finished and I can breathe again.
So stay tuned for some fun times!!!

Painted House

We are starting to paint the house this weekend. That means I have to decide on colors. That is very difficult for me, for my own house. For other people's homes, I can tell you what color you should paint in less than 10 minutes. I usually have a feel for your style by looking at what you own and that tells me what colors you would prefer. But for my own house?! I can't do it!

Should I go neutral (boring tasteful, yet easy to coordinate)?

Should I go trendy (wallpaper accent wall)?

Or should I go with my heart's secret desire (robin's egg blue with crisp white trim)?

So much pressure!!!

Day Off

I took the day off to tackle a bunch of projects. So far....I finished a cross stitch and then fell asleep on the couch for an hour.
I am going to be productive now, I promise!

Comfort

I love color. I really do.
But when I choose my favorite rooms they seem to be based in white.
It makes me feel comfortable.

And We Don't Stop

I've been super busy, how have you been? Saturday we had a moving sale to try and clear out some extra stuff. And I put my beloved magazines in the sale. It was tough. But I was happy when someone would pick up a stack to take home and love. We are in the midst of packing and moving and putting final touches on reception plans. I still have a million things to do and not enough time. I'm working on my grapevine chandelier and it is looking so amazing! I can't wait to share it with you!

This pretty outdoor room is making me happy today. Love the colors and the Moroccan feel.
Bring on summer!!!
