DIY Box Full of Fun

I think a little box full of goodies is about the best gift you can give or receive. The fun of finding treasure upon treasure all confined to a small space is exhilarating!

You can find this diy box at Creature Comforts. Ez is amazingly talented and I love her blog. She gives a complete list of what's included in this box and links to free printables for the tags. Could it get much better? No, not today.

Get Your Big Hat Ready

The Kentucky Derby is tomorrow. I really enjoy watching the race and really, really enjoy the amazing hats. It's on my bucket list.

Mish Mash

I've got a lot on my mind lately. I'm going back to school soon. I'm patiently waiting for warmer days to complete some home projects. My children are growing up too fast. And I just have this basic feeling of unrest. Either something big is going to happen or I'll have a panic attack. But I'll cope either way and continue to find pretty stuff that I want. Like this houndstooth bedskirt...

And these pallet pieces. (If anyone in my small farm town saw these being used as high fashion items they would laugh themselves silly. Seriously. These are lying on the side of the road around here. I've always thought they had an untapped beauty to them.)

I have a chair that has not held up nearly as well as it should have. So now I'm going to have to slip cover it and I would love to do it in a diagonal stripe. Now the problem is finding diagonal stripe fabric that is affordable. This fabric is only sold in England. Not so affordable. But amazingly beautiful.

Wow!

This beautiful window display is from Anthropologie, of course. Do you think it comes in a size 2?

And for another, completely different, Wow, read my sister-in-law, Kayla's, story of racing in the Boston Marathon. You will be inspired!

Do you ever check out Flickr? There are a few groups that I keep my eye on. Lately I'm viewing the Interior Styling set. There are some beautiful vignettes like these...

Blog Adoration

I can't get enough of Dottie Angel today. I want to be able to coordinate multiple florals like she does. And I love the vintage pillowcases she uses. I've got my collection started.

Yay For Weekends!

I don't have much planned for the weekend and that's just the way I like it! Here are some pretties to keep you happy...

Who doesn't need a zebra pinata?

Which would you rather have? A wedding inspired by lemon meringue pie or a China cabinet? Both are beautiful!

A local shop that I MUST go to this weekend. If you're in the Treasure Valley, stop by The Brass Razoo and say hi to Elise, she's awesome.

And you have to read this 4 part birth story from CJane. I love birth stories:)

Beautiful!

So much to love about this room. The amazing rug, the worn leather sofa, the '54', the dark floors...I could go on and on!

And isn't this wall color beautiful? The black chairs with the white table are a nice touch.

And the orange/sky blue combo! Ugghhh, it's killing me with simple beauty!!!

Dreamy Whites

I stumbled upon this blog  today and I'm so happy I did. It truly is full of "Dreamy Whites". I want to spend my summer lounging on her slip-covered sofa, with my shoes off, of course.

Summer Skirts

This summer I vow to wear more skirts. And I vow to learn to make the perfect skirt. Well, perfect as in, "I have nothing else to wear so I'll wear my favorite skirt!" Check out these pretties...

Aren't these perfect for summer? And they are from LL Bean. I don't think I've looked at an LL Bean catalog since the 90's.
Love this simple skirt. And she claims it only takes 20 minutes to make. You can find the instructions here.

P-A-R-T-Why?

Because you can't help it when you find inspiration as pretty as this...

A romantic roof-top party in the city would be wonderful!

And Amy Atlas can set up a table like nobody's business!
Just add twinkling lights and some music and you've got yourself a party!

Sarah Jane Studios

If I had to decorate a nursery, it would be inspired by these prints from the amazing artist and illustrator, Sarah Jane....

Don't you love them? I want to put them on my little boy's walls, but he's into spiders and tractors and all things dinosaur. Maybe I can convince him that paper dolls like to ride John Deere tractors.
You can buy her prints here.

Refashion Trend

This is a band wagon that I'm jumping all over. I love the current refashioning craze. I just wish my sewing skills were better. Because I really want to turn this...
into this....

Don't you think that is amazing?!? This is from the wonderful blog, Adventures In Dressmaking. I'm so happy there are such talented people out there in blogland, like Suzannah, who are willing to share. And she likes ruffles. My kind of girl!
